As a Senior Consultant you will be primarily responsible for implementing sector wide capacity building for the Dementia Partnerships Project.  This role will be responsible for developing partnerships with service providers, analysing needs, developing change plans and implementing evidence based capacity building activities.
This position is full time on fixed term contract until 30 June 2019

As Senior Consultant your role will include:
·         Supporting and contributing to project development activities
·         Contributes to a dynamic, cohesive, focussed team
·         Leads sector analysis of need relevant to project objectives
·         Works within allocated resources and project budget
·         Ensures timely and accurate reporting of outcomes and activities
·         Maintains accurate records and statistics of Program
·         In consultation with Team Leader, reviews project plan and outcome goals
·         Provides expert dementia knowledge and leadership to implementation of partnership work plans
·         Reviews evidence of models and practice to ensure best practice strategies are engaged in partnership work plans
·         Delivers coaching, mentorship, training and information to project partners
·         Models good dementia practice to partners
·         Liaises with other teams to deliver project plans utilising whole of organisation approach where appropriate
·         Contributes to evaluation of key project deliverables
·         Supervises project team members to achieve project outcomes as required
·         Liaises with relevant stakeholders from all levels
·         Develops and maintains effective internal and external communication strategies
·         Identifies and builds relationships with key project partners
·         Identifies resources and developments needed to provide capacity building activities both internally and with partner organisations  
Selection Criteria
Essential
·        Tertiary qualification in social sciences or human services field and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
·        Extensive knowledge of dementia, care services, assessment models and practice / cultural change
·        Experience in implementing dementia related projects/initiatives
·        Experience in consultation methods and a partnership approach to service delivery
·        Be able to deliver on project schedules and tasks
·        Knowledge of and experience in health / aged / community care sector in WA
·        Demonstrated experience of leading projects
·        Exceptional interpersonal skills particularly maintaining effective relationships and partnerships and working collaboratively
·        Highly developed analytical skills and a flexible approach
·        Ability to travel to regional areas
·        Experience in implementing dementia related projects/initiatives
·        Demonstrated experience in the use of MS Office Applications and data bases
·        High standard of oral and written communication skills
·        A demonstrated high standard of organisational skill, self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously
·        Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with key stakeholders and colleagues to develop and support the delivery of quality services;
·        Positive work commitment, honesty and integrity
·        Current Police Clearance (not more than 6 months old) and driver’s licence

Desirable

·           Knowledge and experience of dementia/dementia friendly principles
·           Knowledge of Dementia care services, enabling design principles, environmental impact and design services.
·           Experience of working with regional providers
·           Experience working with people living with dementia and their carers
·           Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment
·           Certificate IV in Dementia Practice or higher dementia qualification
·           Experience in delivering training and working with staff to implement person centred change processes
·           Experience in culture change in dementia settings
·           Experience in utilising an evidence based approach for the development and implementation of training and service development
·           Experience in project evaluation
·           Experience in working with regional providers
