Psychologist (Private Practice, Part time or Full time )  
In response to increased demand, several exciting opportunities are now available to join our rapidly growing practice. We are seeking warm, competent Psychologists (Clinical or Registered) who pride themselves on creating a comfortable, empathetic and a professional environment for clients and for therapists to work.   The ProActive Psychology Practice offers a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, and interventions, which are informed by both current research and extensive experience. Dedicated to providing high standards of client care, we focus on the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults, tailoring therapies to the specific needs of our clients.  

Established for several years in the Fairfield area, our reputation across a wide network of referring practitioners, partnered with the support of our team of highly skilled Receptionists, affords a reliable referral base.   We have recently been awarded the tender for the Star4kids program in the Fairfield/Bankstown LGAs and require an experienced psychologist to work with children aged 3-12years.  The Star4kids program is a flexible and inclusive therapeutic model which includes face to face, telephone and e-therapy services with children, their families, schools and daycare providers.

Essential criteria required for this role include:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience, with eligibility as a provider under Medicare Australia
  • Experience and ability to work with children 3-12y ears
  • Available to work in both Bankstown and Fairfield Offices
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Be available for after-hours work week nights and Saturday mornings  
  • Australian resident;
Highly desirable criteria include:
  • Experience in Child and Adolescent Counselling
  • Clinical Psychology degree or currently studying a Masters of Clinical Psychology
  • Experience or interest in Facilitating Groups
  • Work Cover accreditation (or willingness to ascertain)
  • Experience in Relationship Counselling
  • Committed to ongoing professional development
  • Fluency in Arabic or Vietnamese  
Remuneration will be offered in accordance with qualifications, experience and position.
