About the Mid West Eco-Tourism Incubator ProjectThe Mid West Eco Tourism Incubator will harness the Mid West''s natural, science and cultural assets as a living laboratory for the development of scalable, replicable and internationally relevant visitor-oriented technologies, tools, and experiences. The project will enhance the Region''s innovation ecosystem by linking start-ups with industry partners, indigenous landowners and natural resource managers to build capabilities and products that will both grow international markets, and develop scalable solutions that in-themselves will be applicable to the $7.6 trillion global tourism sector. The project will also foster innovation by capturing, utilising and enhancing visitor behaviour, ecology and cultural datasets for use by incubator participants, and the broader Mid West innovation ecosystem.
The Role:Reporting to the Board, the Mid West Eco Tourism Incubator Project Planning Lead will be accountable for:        

  • Project Planning/Management, including finalising the business case.         
  • Fundraising and attracting sponsorships; Marketing and PR
  • Stakeholder engagement
To be successful, we are seeking the following criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience in planning a government grant funded project, including acquittals.
  • Demonstrated experience in general project planning and management.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget development and management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated fundraising experience
The position is a part-time – 6 month contract position. We are seeking an immediate start. Salary will be based on successful applicants previous experience.
