Job Description

We are seeking an extremely talented front-end developer to join our cross-stage-frameworks team in our Pyrmont office for a 6 month fixed term contract.  This is a newly created position within a highly motivated, competent and results-driven team. 

Your mission will be to work collaboratively with the Lead Developer and the rest of the team members in order to obtain the relevant domain knowledge necessary to work autonomously and deliver on the finalisation of existing web UI products which process live dataflow in a dynamic and efficient manner from multiple back-end data sources to the end users.    

To achieve this task there will be an expectation that the successful applicant adopts already established coding frameworks and tools identified as being the best for the project and applies their own commercially obtained high-level skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Deploying & administering web applications.
  • JavaScript/ES6.
  • Typescript.
  • Webpack (or similar).
  • Vue.js (or similar) and relevant UI frameworks (e.g. Vuetify or similar).
  • Websockets, background-IO, bidirectional data-binding, etc.
  • HTML5, CSS3.
  • UX/UI design.
  • Browser-automation in regression testing (e.g. Selenium or similar).
  • Shell scripting.
  • Software engineering processes and practices, e.g. familiarity with task and bug tracking systems such as JIRA, unit and regression testing and other testing methodologies.
  • Modern software tools and processes such as VCS (SVN/Git), integrated development environments (Visual Studio) and agile software development methods (Scrum/similar).
  • Working to deadlines and out of hours to ensure availability of critical systems.
To be considered for this role applicants will need a Degree in Software Engineering or similar.Any experience with PHP and other web development tools will be highly regarded although not essential.Examples of work using Vue.js or Vuetify would be beneficial.In addition to the technical skills you will also need to demonstrate:
